You must see this trailer:
Avatar is a science fiction story filmed in 3D with motion capture technology. It is the first of its kind to use this revolutionary technology and fully immerses the audience into the cinematic experience. What is real and what is animated becomes a guessing game to the viewer. The film is set in the 22nd century on a small moon planet called Pandora. The characters are fascinating, and I’m not even a big fan of sci-fi!
The film was first conceived by James Cameron 14 years ago – before the means to realize his vision existed. The world is waiting, with mixed reactions, for the international release of Avatar in December. (That in itself is pretty revolutionary)
Mattel is also launching a toy line ahead of the film release. Each figure in the range will come with a 3D tag that can be scanned by a webcam and take the viewer to special “locked” content online through a technology called “augmented reality”.
