Contrary to popular belief, fashion emerges from the streets not the runaway. A lot of high fashion is rarely things people could actually wear out. Ok, besides the incredibly high prices, you’d look plain silly. Not to mention the low comfort level.

An example of fashion emerging from the streets has to be the “sherwel” pants. I honestly don’t get how they became such a hit, but lots of people are wearing them. Even in Spain. When I see people wearing them, I can’t help but think of the men in the mountains here. The other day I saw one walking in downtown, so I followed him. You know, for the sake of research. I wonder if that’s how the trend started.. or someone just really liked baggy pants.

Speaking of urban inspiration, check out the photography of Yvan Rodic. He travels the world capturing urban style through his revealing – and sometimes very provocative lens. Here are a few of his photographs:

Welcome to My Blog!

Lorena's Epiphany was created one morning in 2006 and has joined me ever since. It's been my home-away-from-home and where I've been able to unleash my inner-most thoughts and musings. Hopefully one day I'll look back at this as an old lady and smile.
