Gift-Wrapping

So what’s your type? Have you given it much thought, or do you instinctively know when you meet a person?
I’m kind of in-between. Blondies certainly don’t do it for me. Neither muscly-jock types. When I was in Boston, the pickings were certainly slim. The most attractive men were usually South American or had some Latino in them. There’s something about a man with dark hair, dark skin and a scruff that always works. Ladies, don’t you agree?
The body type isn’t so important as long as he’s taller than me and wider than me (not a fatso of course). I love being the petite one in the couple, not the other way around. That raises another question: why do basketball players always date tiny girls? Is it an extreme form of feeling that?
When it comes to defining my type, I’d like to leave it as general as that. None of my exes look alike. Actually, quite the contrary. When you seriously get involved with a person, you start finding a million tiny little things you like about them. The outside appearance becomes the gift wrapping and what I discover about the person becomes “my type”. Very deep, eh?
When I’m not looking for a relationship, sadly, it’s all about looks. I think this applies for girls and guys. If you’re really lucky, you’ll get the looks that turn you on and a beautiful gift beneath.

Wow. I never thought of it that way. But yes, I know your type, honey.
