Paint it Black!

I’ve been excited about this all week!! (PS: The mess in the picture is some of my dad’s all stuff. Gotta clear it out asap!)
Since I moved into my dad’s old office a few months ago, the first thing I wanted to do was convert one of the back rooms into a darkroom.. And walla
Today I got the room painted black (to restrict light and to use as a backdrop for photographing) with a few white accents so it’s not too claustrophobic. Be sure to pass by and check it out if you’re ever in Achrafiyeh!
Next step: start saving for developing and lighting equipment. Yes, I know that’s a bad mix, but I plan to first start using it for photo shoots, and then develop it into a full-out darkroom for processing pictures.
I found my calling in photography and step-by-step hope to get better at it and make a name for myself
Wish me luck!

Great post Lorena!
Written from the heart. We can feel the ambition, and the hope life brings us to keep going.
I always come back and say I owe it all to my lovely dad.
My dad helped me get my law office. I love you dad!
Too much Oedipian here? LOL LOL
I wish you all the luck in the world Lorena and I promise to come and visit you when I will go back to Ashrafieh (this is where I was born 43 years ago)

I adore your blog! My favorite post is “From the post office: The City is a fake. I must say I understand your perspective, but as an outsider I think I too have a love hate relationship with the city=) I hope your business is going well and to see you soon!
