The Devil Hacks My Blog

Before yesterday, it’d been almost two weeks since I’d blogged. For someone who’s constantly obsessing about what to write next, that’s a LONG time. Something was just off and didn’t feel inspired.

You’re probably thinking: “Yes, we noticed. Some of us missed you, but get over it.” So why am I bothering you with this information?

Because I had the strangest dream last night about it! I remember it quite vividly too. In the dream, someone managed to hack into my blog and was responding to all the comments in a wazwaz Arabic – the kind of Arabic you see rolling across the screens of Rotana music television. Yes. You can imagine my torment, sitting behind a screen, watching someone else respond to comments all wrong.

The rest of the dream I’m trying to track that person down. I end up creating another blog and trying to redirect people to come to it. You always end up losing a few along the way. I don’t remember if the dream had a happy ending.

I woke up in the morning comforted by the fact my browser automatically launched my blog with the saved password settings. Check comment response.. We’re good. No one’s been here that shouldn’t. Sigh. It really was just a dream. Or actually, nightmare may be a more appropriate word.

Guess I’m a bit of a control freak when it comes to my blog, but who isn’t? ;-)

With so much of our lives online, the fear of being hacked into is always in the back of our minds. You can never be too careful. Read more about hacking, or the “art of it” as this blogger says, here: The Art of Hacking

Sigmund Freud postulated that dreams are the symbolic expression of frustrated desires that had been relegated to the unconscious mind!

And about dreaming, we dream every day and the most memorable dreaming occurs in the Rapid Eye Movement (REM) stage.
So when we wake up and think we didn’t dream, it’s because we woke up early in the REM stage.

Welcome to My Blog!

Lorena's Epiphany was created one morning in 2006 and has joined me ever since. It's been my home-away-from-home and where I've been able to unleash my inner-most thoughts and musings. Hopefully one day I'll look back at this as an old lady and smile.
